Accessibility statement

We target WCAG 2.1 level AA on this website. Below is what we tested, what we measured, what we know is not perfect yet, and how to reach a person if something blocks you.

Version 1.0 · Statement prepared 4 August 2026 · Applies to the klikka.travel marketing website

1. Our target

This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 level AA. We consider it substantially conformant at the date of this statement, with the specific exceptions listed in section 5. We treat an access problem as a defect, not a feature request.

2. What we built in

  • Keyboard operability. Every control is reachable and usable with a keyboard alone, in a logical order. A skip-to-content link is the first focusable item on every page.
  • Visible focus. A 3px focus ring with a 3px offset on every interactive element, in teal on light backgrounds and sand on navy, both measured above the 3:1 non-text requirement.
  • The cookie banner and preferences panel are fully keyboard operable. The panel is a modal dialogue with a focus trap, closes on Escape, and returns focus to whatever opened it. Accept and Reject are identical in size and weight.
  • Works without JavaScript. Every page reads and every link works with scripting disabled. The only thing that needs JavaScript is the cookie preferences panel, and with scripting off nothing non-essential is stored anyway.
  • Semantic structure. One h1 per page, no skipped heading levels, real landmarks, real lists, real tables with row and column headers and a caption, labelled form controls.
  • Reduced motion. The site is nearly static by design; the little that transitions is disabled under prefers-reduced-motion, including smooth scrolling.
  • Text that scales. Relative units throughout, no maximum-scale restriction, and layouts that hold at 200 per cent zoom and at 320 CSS pixels wide.
  • No colour-only meaning. Status labels read Confirmed, Option, TBC and Paid in words, not by colour alone.
  • No third-party embeds. No iframes, chat widgets or ad scripts to introduce inaccessible content we do not control.
  • Images. The logo carries a text alternative; illustrative panels are marked decorative so screen readers skip them rather than reading out invented content. There is no photography of people on this site.
  • Printable legal pages. A dedicated print stylesheet renders the privacy, terms, cookie and disclaimer pages as black-on-white documents with visible link text.

3. What we tested

Testing was carried out by us, not by an external auditor, on 4 August 2026. We tested:

  • Every page at 390 px and 1440 px viewport widths, checking for horizontal overflow and overlapping text.
  • A keyboard-only pass over the home page and each legal page, including the cookie banner and the preferences panel, recording the tab order.
  • Heading structure and landmark order on every page.
  • Every foreground and background colour pair used for type, calculated against the WCAG 2.1 relative-luminance formula rather than judged by eye. Results in section 4.
  • Rendering with JavaScript disabled, and with the self-hosted fonts blocked so the fallback stack is exercised.
  • Zoom to 200 per cent and reflow at 320 px.

We have not yet completed a full screen-reader pass with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver, and no disabled users have been involved in testing. Both are listed as limitations below rather than glossed over.

4. Measured contrast

Selected results, in ratios, against a 4.5:1 requirement for body text and 3:1 for large text and non-text elements. Every pair we use for type passes.

Measured contrast ratios, 4 August 2026
PairUsed forRatio
Deep Navy on ShellBody text, light sections14.82:1
Pale on Deep NavyBody text, navy bands and page headers13.52:1
Pale on Navy DeepFooter text and the company identity line14.82:1
#656F76 on ShellMuted and secondary text4.67:1
Coastal Teal on ShellLinks, focus ring5.21:1
White on Coastal TealPrimary and consent buttons5.73:1
Sand on Deep NavyFocus ring on navy, and fills. Never type11.33:1

Three pairs are deliberately excluded from carrying type because we measured them and they fail: Sand on white at 1.44:1, Coastal Teal on Deep Navy at 2.84:1, and Stone on Shell at 4.01:1. Sand is used only as a fill or a highlight. Navy bands use pale or white type with teal reserved for fills. Muted text uses #656F76 in place of Stone throughout.

5. Known limitations

  • No independent audit. Testing is our own. We have not commissioned a third-party WCAG audit, and we will say so here until we have.
  • Screen readers not yet fully verified. The markup is semantic and was written for assistive technology, but we have not completed a structured pass with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver across every page.
  • No users with disabilities have tested it yet. We would like that to change; see section 7.
  • Wide data tables scroll horizontally. On a narrow screen, the larger legal tables become a horizontally scrollable region. That region is keyboard focusable and labelled, but it is a compromise rather than a true responsive table.
  • Variable fonts. Two self-hosted variable font files are used. If they fail to load, the site falls back to system fonts, which is safe but changes line breaks slightly.
  • No text-only or high-contrast alternative view, beyond respecting your browser's own zoom, text-size and contrast settings.

6. The Klikka app

This statement covers the marketing website you are reading. The signed-in app at klikka.travel is a separate codebase built on a third-party application platform, and we have not completed the same measurement pass on it. We hold it to the same AA target and treat accessibility defects there as bugs. When it has been tested properly, that will be stated here with a date. If you hit an access barrier in the app, tell us and we will treat it as a defect rather than asking you to work around it.

7. Tell us about a problem

If something on this site or in the app stops you doing what you came to do, email cb@cbdistributionltd.com. Say what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what you use to browse if you know it. That is enough — you do not need to identify the guideline.

We aim to acknowledge within five working days and to tell you either how it is fixed or when it will be. If you need something on this site in another format — a legal page as plain text or large print, for example — ask and we will send it. If we do not respond adequately, you may raise the matter with the appropriate consumer or equality body in your country; in Malta the Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability is the relevant authority.
